We got a way late start to the day because Catherine wanted to make pancakes for breakfast, which then turned into pancake art. Still managed to get in a chapter of Astrophysics for Young People, this time about the periodic table and where the elements come from originally.
Everyone did some Khan for math. It was Catherine day, so I spent most of my time with her. She was working on factors, primes, and composite numbers. Aaron tried the multiple digit subtraction again but got frustrated, so we went to division. Also frustrating, but not AS bad. Seth did his on his own.
Catherine started her project and it looks adorable. All about evergreen trees. Aaron is still typing away on his story, and Seth had some huge breakthroughs on his Roblox Inventory. So hopefully everything will be ready by Friday!
For reading Seth finished all the Magnus Chase books we have, so he's on the prowl for something new. He's trying to get Catherine to read them next. Catherine and Aaron are still working on their same books.
At lunch we watched a bunch of videos. One on helium, one on how we are made of star dust, one on what would happen if the Earth got pulled out of the solar system (which was both fascinating and terrifying), and another Simon Bolivar episode.
We also had our poetry time in the afternoon (outside!). They all stuck with Shel Silverstein poems. I read them The Inchcape Rock, which was kind of a ridiculous story but they enjoyed the drama.
Aaron & I also started on Elise's blanket. He is SO excited! They are all (Seth, Catherine & Aaron) now playing Breath of the Wild, so we talked last night about the skills you can learn from playing video games like that. Elise is also starting Reading Eggs and Mathseeds, which she loves so far!
