Finally got back into the breakfast routine (scriptures, memorization, geography, etc.). Also finished reading Story of Science. We'll start on the second one (Newton) soon.
For math, Seth worked on Khan. His goal is to get to 80% by the end of January. Catherine did some more SolveMe Sudoku and Aaron worked on Khan as well (multiplication).
For writing, Aaron started typing a strange story about laughing to death. Catherine is working on something on her iPad but won't show me. Seth wrote the script for the opening scene of his game.
For reading Seth is still working on Harry Potter, Catherine on Lightning Thief. Aaron finished Mercy Watson and rated it 3/5 stars. He really struggled with retelling the story, or even telling me his favorite part. Definitely something to work one.
Elise and I read The Princess in Black and The Very Bad Bunny.
At lunch we watched Mystery Doug about whether masks stop the coronavirus. Nothing they didn't already know, but they still always love his videos.
We did our poetry time, although it was interrupted by a visit from friends.
Catherine and Elise spent a good part of the day playing Legos together upstairs. Aaron and Seth made armor out of cardboard and battled each other in the basement. Seth also spent a lot of time working on his Roblox game.
For FHE we discussed healthy eating and talked about changes we're going to make in the amount/type of sweet things we have in our home. The kids were surprisingly receptive to the changes. Hopefully that continues.
