First day back on schedule. Little crazy since our water heater died yesterday and we had no water. Thankfully it was repaired this morning, but it did make things a little abnormal.
We read Chapter 29 of SOTW (about Napoleon's beginnings). They were fascinated that he could go so quickly from general to emperor.
For math Seth & Catherine both worked on SolveMe puzzles. Aaron and I did three rounds of Krypto. It's a struggle for him, but he gets it in the end.
I decided to start having all of them spend some time reading a 'stretch' book during school now. Their choice, but I have to approve it. Something just a bit above what they normally choose to read. Seth is re-reading Harry Potter, then will start Hunger Games. Catherine is reading the illustrated Percy Jackson. Aaron is reading Mercy Watson.
I'm also having them start a writing project. Seth is going to write his script for his game intro scene. Catherine is going to work on a story on her iPad. Aaron also wants to write a story.
At lunch we watched a bunch of videos. Finished Kamehameha on Extra History, watched an astronomically correct Twinkle, Twinkle, Little Star (very well done), some Physics Girl, some Mark Rober, and a couple Extra History episodes on Catherine the Great.
Seth finished his physics book. Next up will be History of Medicine!
Catherine worked extra hard cleaning the house to earn money for a Nintendo Switch. I'm hoping to hire her as a mother's helper a few times a week!
