We read Ch. 15 SOTW about wars in the colonies and King Phillip’s War. Talked about colonization and the colonists’ treatment of natives.
Aaron spent some more time typing up a story. Most of his stories are either spooky or about war. His spelling is great, but his punctuation needs some work.
I pulled out the Tangrams and colored cubes. The kids spent the morning building patterns and structures out of them. Elise was very proud of her two tangram creations that were the same shape but used different shapes to form them.
For math we played The Great Escape from Math You Can Play. It involved factoring, multiplication, squares & cubes, and prime numbers. They all seemed to really enjoy it and want to play it again.
Poetry time at the Knoxes. Seth had a writing class with Anna. She says he’s really good at catching onto rhetorical devices in writing. Catherine didn’t have art class since Anna wasn’t feeling well. So just a lot of playing in the woods!
