Friday 3-5-2021

Jon had the day off, which always changes our schedule a bit. We went and played with friends at the park in the morning, even though it was freezing. Everyone allegedly did some math, although I can't confirm that it was actually completed.

Aaron had his piano lesson and rocked it! I need to have him start playing games on the iPad to help with his note recognition, though.

At lunch we watched a couple Mark Rober videos and a few Brain Games clips. I want to buy the whole season but need more free digital credits. Soon!

For art there were so many perler beads. I bought them little containers so they can sort them by color, which we spent most of an afternoon doing (not even close to done yet).

Over the weekend we mostly did some cleaning around the house. I did find a magnet program at a local high school that Seth and I are very excited about. He's even willing to do two years of math (algebra 1 and geometry) over the next year in order to make a more favorable impression. I think it would be an excellent fit for him.

We also planned and hosted a Minecraft themed dinner on Sunday. The kids planned the menu and did some costumes and decorations. Catherine also played Monopoly Deal with us and Timmy that evening. I need to be better about pulling (non-screen) games out to play. It's just hard with a toddler.
