Read some more Little House in the Big Woods. Aaron especially found it hilarious when Pa attacked the tree stump thinking it was a bear. That's what he wrote about in his learning journal.
It was Aaron day, so we did some Khan together. Actually, a LOT of Khan. He blasted through the multiplication section and earned himself 65 chocolate chips (one per question). Jon was mortified by the amount of chocolate. Seth also did some Khan and Catherine did Zoombinis again.
Catherine and Aaron both wrote in their learning journals, as did Seth. They're also continuing to work on their projects. I helped Aaron write some more in his story and edit what he'd already typed. Gonna be another interesting one...
Seth is working his way through the Magnus Chase series now. Catherine is allegedly still reading the Book of Mormon, although I picked up Matilda for her from the library and she devoured it. I've never seen her read a book that quickly! Aaron is still working on Mrs. Piggle Wiggle. They all have been perusing the library books I brought home about the human body and ancient medical practices. Aaron even made Jon read one aloud to him for his bedtime story.
Aaron's piano lessons went well. Seth watched some videos on music and our brains, and Catherine never needs to be reminded to practice. At least one of my kids will love piano!
For art they each made a Valentine to send to a family member. Seth & Catherine did kind of collage hearts, Elise painted a picture, and Aaron did some Aaron-style origami involving lots of tape.
Over the weekend Seth had a survival skills scavenger hunt with the youth. Not sure how much he actually learned, but he got to see friends, which is all he cared about.
