Read some more Count of Monte Cristo. At dinner we were discussing whether the Chateau d'If was real, so we looked it up. Totally real. Looked at some pictures and maps to see where it was. Very cool.
Seth worked on Khan again and this time hit 76% in one day! He was ecstatic. It was Aaron day, so Catherine, Aaron & I played Casino for math. Definitely more of a probability/logic game than anything else, but they did great. Catherine realized very quickly that she wouldn't be able to win because she'd left a 1 open, so that was awesome. Good reasoning.
I helped Seth edit his game opener writing. He is an excellent writer. I just gave him some suggestions for wording or phrasing. Catherine & Aaron both worked on their learning journals. Catherine wrote about a Mark Rober video she watched on egg drops. Aaron write (by himself) about the possibility that aliens will visit Earth.
Seth has been tearing through the Harry Potter series. He's on book 4 now. Catherine is still working on the Lightning Thief. She moans about reading, but then says she loves it once she's doing it. Aaron was reading Nate the Great.
Aaron had his piano lesson. He told me piano is his least favorite part of school. Sigh. He is not highly motivated, other than for the candy, but he'll do it. It's just slow for now.
In the afternoon we did some more Just Dance/elliptical for exercise. That evening Jon played matching with Catherine (her request) and Starcraft with Seth.
