We read Ch. 33 of SOTW, about Napoleon on Elba and at Waterloo. Also the War of 1812. We watched some videos at lunch that went with both of those topics. Also a video about gluten since we've started making our own bread with gluten.
For math, Seth & I did some Khan together. He's getting to rates and ratios, which is something I struggled with as well. He's better at it than I am, but it's still a challenge. But he made it to 85%! Jon had to talk both of us through a few problems. Glad we have him around! Catherine and Aaron both did Zoombinis.
For writing, I somehow missed Seth's project. I'll check on that tomorrow. Catherine wrote a thank-you note to Mr. Chris for the key lime pie, and Aaron worked some more on his story. They've also all been helping with Seth's Boom Boom Balls game.
For reading Aaron is still doing Mrs. Piggle Wiggle. Catherine is doing Sea of Monsters and the Book of Mormon. Seth is struggling with his next book choice, so I found Rascal for him to try. He's also reading White Indian boy for book club.
The highlight of the day was going to the Uhligs and learning how to tan a deer hide. They got to scrape it clean, stretch it, and tan it with salt. They also got to try some venison, which they DEVOURED. A very cool experience.
Seth and Catherine have been working on conquering Breath of the Wild on the Switch. Aaron has been working on Mario Kart on the Wii. He gets very frustrated, but has really pushed himself to master it!
