11-12-2020

Our morning reading was from Marie Antoinette. We read about two deaths, one from pneumonia and one from infection.  Her mother refused to mourn the death of a child because children died so often. Terrible thing to think about.

For math, Seth did more Polyup. Some of what he was doing looked really complex. Aaron & Catherine both worked on their Khan. Aaron was doing multiplication. Catherine was doing multiplication x1000. She struggled a bit, but she'll be better with it next time.

Today was Elise day. I watched her do some of her math and letter sounds. I had to adjust her settings. Somehow they were on Preschool, age 2. Bumped her up to PreK 4 and K.

Seth has spent most of his day working on his Roblox games. Allegedly he's been working on his novel, but he doesn't seem as motivated. Probably because he didn't have class this week.

Aaron & Catherine spent a good chunk of the day playing together. I could never quite catch exactly what they were doing. They (and Elise) also pulled out the Perler beads and left me a giant pile of things to iron on the stove.

I spent almost an hour playing Barbies, babies and Little Critters with Elise today. It's not my favorite, but it's how she feels love. We also read several books together.

At lunch it was more Science of Stupid.

Catherine & Aaron both filled out their learning journals. Catherine wrote about some things she'd picked up from Science of Stupid and Aaron wrote about how to make an axe.

After dinner we played some games: Sleeping Queens & Trash Pandas. Both Aaron & Catherine can play with no help and score their own points now. Seth & Jon played Starcraft together after the littles went to bed.
