 10-8-20

Another kind of crazy day. We did manage to get some reading in. We read a short biography of Michael Faraday from a k-12 book someone gave me. The kids were really fascinated by the idea that electricity could produce a magnet. Need to see if I can find an experiment that goes along with that.

And it was Catherine Day, so we started with a math game. You rolled three dice and could use any of the standard arithmetic procedures to try to get three numbers in a row on a board. Catherine seemed to get it and did a good job,, Aaron struggled with doing anything more than adding. I think we need to play it again.

Catherine is continuing to work on Greensleeves. She has it memorized but I want her to add pedal. She also started working on learning the song Scarborough Fair.

I'm not entirely sure what Seth did for math. Probably Puzzledom. He's basically independent most of the time. He did have a writing class with Anna in the afternoon. He said that he really enjoyed it, and they got to work on their settings.

Aaron has been working on typing some more stories. Today it was one about war. He's getting even more independent with his typing, but he does still ask for spelling help fairly frequently.

Catherine did some more data entry for her chocolates survey. Next week will work on putting the whole thing together.

In the afternoon we went to the park to play with friends from our old co-op.
