This was our week off, but it's not like no learning happened! So here's what they were up to when they were 'not learning':
Seth worked more on his writing for Anna's writing class
Both Seth & Catherine finished off their projects. I posted all of their projects on social media since we didn't have the chance to share with our friends as planned.
Catherine also dusted off her origami skills and was making some paper animals for us.
Aaron & Catherine spent a lot of time making movies on Pivot Animator.
Someone asked a question about heart attacks, so we watched a few Youtube videos on how/why they happen.
Seth also asked me to buy tofu for him to try thanks to Avatar comics. We found some and bought some hot & sour soup mix. They didn't love it, but they ate it!
Seth also attended book club at the Knoxes. They're reading Tom Sawyer and he loves it! Also still doing his writing class and Catherine's art class. And still poetry time and playing in the woods with Knoxes!
We had Fun Friday at Miss Mary's house. We played in her creek, then the kids got to make & play with Oobleck. Melissa also had a bridge building activity for Seth & Gabe. Seth didn't put forth much effort, so Gabe trounced him.
Catherine also planned and hosted a party for a bunch of her girlfriends. She's really been missing seeing friends since Covid. They rode bikes, made bracelets, ate a bunch of junk food, painted the driveway with cornstarch, and generally just ran wild. She was so happy.
Aaron also kept working on designing a game. He makes cards on blank index cards.
