 9-30-20

For Spanish in the morning we watched a video on YouTube called El Pollito Tito. We read a few chapters out of The Last of the Mohicans.

For math Seth did some Puzzledom games. Aaron and Catherine pulled out the fractions manipulatives and we talked about how to make wholes. Aaron also drew a bunch of his own fractions, up to I think 12ths. Think I need to explain the way fractions are written, as in a piece out of a whole.

Catherine Day. She wanted to start learning Greensleeves on the piano. She needs to work on her fingering but she's already picked out the melody.

Today was gymnastics at KYA. We listened to Stella by Starlight as we drove. Discussed how white people in the South kept black people from voting with things like fees and ridiculous tests.

Catherine did some AAS. Wondering if she has dyslexia or something similar. She struggles to keep letters in order and remember spelling, especially if she’s rushed.

That evening we all headed to Schucks Park for dinner and playing. Seth did geocaching with the deacons while the rest of the kids played. When we got home, Catherine & I worked on entering some of her chocolate survey results into a table. This is her favorite part.
